Picked up Peanut at school and got these as present. I wonder if this means boyness is settling in. Lol

While biking around, Peanut picked out this dainty flower cluster under the rose bushes and hand it to me.

Flower Power

Peanut finds flower to give me no matter where we are at. I love it. Hard to tell him don't pick flowers knowing his intent is so sweet.

Me: not healthy for the stomach and rots your teeth. Hmm you should really ask papa about it. Hmm why are you asking about Coke?!
P: papa had one yesterday

K: (gulp) I had a little one during lunch, child size

Bitter Sweet

A few days ago walking home with Peanut and a girl classmate, Peanut saw this yellow flower on the grass and picked it up. As usual, I assumed it was for me so I reached out to take it. As he was about to hand it over to me his arms took a turn, face animated and quietly told me "I am going to give this to Harper." With glee in his eyes, I felt betrayed, rejected and joy mixed together. I was sad that I was not the first person he wants to give the flower to anymore. He had another girl in mind!! I felt proud because my boy is sweet to offer a flower to a girl. The following few seconds made me bust out laughing and remain sad...

P: Harper this flower is for you.

She took the flower and immediately threw it down on the grass.

H: I don't want it.

Peanut picked it up and turned to look at me with a saddest face and pouty lips. He said "I will give it to my mama."

I took it immediately reassuring him I love the beautiful flower but at the same time felt the embarrassed rejection for him.

No harm done to the kids. They went on walking and singing as if nothing happened. I am left with two rejection scars in my heart.

Night Out

A few nights ago Peanut presented this beautiful vibrant magenta flower to me at the outdoor mall. I feel so loved. Best feeling.

Who Do You See?

Grandma brought this ornament for Peanut. Excited, he runs to hang it on the tree.

Me: Wow so pretty. What's on it?
P: Me
Me: What? Really? (not realizing what the design was.)
P: See me, mama and papa

Went over to see it thinking grandma had it custom made for us.

Ha ha ha ha ha, we all laughed and enjoyed a pure happy moment.
