Crate Labels

Finally my fascination with the vintage crate label caught up to me. I tried holding it back for about a year. A few days ago my boss gave me three tangerine labels and that ignited the obsession. I am on a quest to obtain as many as I like and can afford. This butterfly label is one I am on a hunt for.

Hercules Meets Mr. Hanky

Peanut can lift up an inverted IKEA stool filled with water during his bath. Wow, that thing is heavy. He did that a few times tonight so naturally Ken went downstairs to get the video camera. While he was away, Peanut squatted down. I thought he was probably worn out after all the heavy lifting. But his face tightened up.

me: what are you doing?
p: farting (bubble, bubble)
me: wow, you are gassy
p: (quiet and face turning red)
me: ah! you are pooping (a log appeared before my eyes)

Lesson learned: Don't perform strenuous workout while bathing.

Peanut In The Fountain

While I was enjoying my lunch, Ken was watching Peanut. He led him walking around the fountain near the outdoor dinning patio. While I was really diving in the yummy eggplant mush, I thought "the only thing that'll ruin this moment is if Peanut fell in the water with his new shoes on now". A few seconds later I hear him... I ran over to the fountain I saw he was dripping wet in Ken's arms. Great, so much for my lunch. I hurried to wipe down Peanut with the baby wipe we had. On the way home I asked Peanut what had happened.

P: Wa wa
me: Did you fall in the water?
P: Yeah
me: What happened?
P: (he pointed to his big toe)
me: Did you step on your toe?
P: Yeah

P: (extending his arms out several times like pushing)
me: What happened?
P: Water
me: Did you fall in the water?
P: Yeah (and motion pushing with his hands)
me: Did PaPa push you in the water?
P: Yeah

P: (kicking with his feet)
me: What's going on?
P: Water
me: Did PaPa kick you into the fountain?
P: Yeah (giggling)

Mr. Hanky Visited Us Today

So at the tail end of the bath today, Peanut turned to face me then dropped three little brown gifts. It took me about three seconds to registered that he pooped in the bath for the very first time today. Yuck! Immediately we rinsed him with clean water and yanked him out. I scrambled to get a sponge from the kitchen sink and scrubbed down the bath real good.

I was traumatized while he laughed.

Mix Up

Lately Peanut has been mixing up when to say "thank you" and "you're welcome". I bet when he said "thank you" at school the teachers are responding back "you're welcome" and he thinks they are correcting him. Oh boy, this is going to be fun to correct.

Germs

Peanut has been sick since November. It's been almost 5 months. He gets one after another. I feel horrible that I can't prevent some of these colds from him. Today is his first time getting a high fever ~103ish. He was lethargic this afternoon and completely docile. He fell asleep on Ken's lap and just had no energy.

Took him to the doctors and gave him medicine. I will check on him hourly to bi-hourly. It's going to be a long night for me. It's hard going bed without knowing that the fever has gone or on it's way down.
